Ambition 2006 was promoted
to 14-18 years olds and their parents or guardians. This is
a unique event to encourage children and young adults to find
out what it is like to work from people who know.
The event was organised
by the Learning for Skills Council and Rotary Club of Bristol
Breakfast who first came up with the idea.
This was not a careers
fair and only attended by specialist advisors working in their
professions or businesses. Both parent and child being able
to talk one to one with the advisors.
Media included high visibility
Sail design in the centre of Bristol, posters in schools and
a mailshot to 14,000 households in the Bristol area.
